EB-5 Flash News From Washington D.C.

Posted on 12/10/2015 by Mark A. Ivener, A Law Corporation

I am told by two lobbyists in Washington D.C. that Congress will extend the current EB-5 statute to December 16th as part of the Continuing Resolution for the budget. This means we can continue to file I-526s and other applications under the current law until the 16th unless the new EB-5 statute is enacted sooner.

The treatment of I-526s and other applications filed since September 30th will depend on the final language of the new statute, which will not be certain until enactment.
