EB-5 Regional Center Law Extended

On September 27th, Congress extended the EB-5 Regional Center Law from September 30 to December 9.

We will see many I-526 filings during this period before there probably will be an increase in investment amount from $900,000 to $800,000 plus many other restrictions. However, it would be safest to invest in a project with an approved exemplar.

However, a warning is that Congress could make the new law retroactive to September 30 or earlier which would mean that applications filed during this period would not be valid.

All lobbyists are fighting against this provision.
